NIce list, Matt. I just got my DROID on release day and am actually going to be able to keep a cell phone through it's contract! (oh my!)

Anyways, I LOVE using Locale on my DROID. I can set up different options to be enabled at different times, GPS locations, battery level, and calendar events. It really helps with me traveling so much between school and work.

When I am driving my GPS signal turns on automatically, my screen brightness turns up and Google Listen (another GREAT Android app) launches so I can listen to my podcasts. This is all linked to a "driving time" even on my calendar. And then when it is class time my phone silences, screen brightness on the lowest and background services turn off. Pretty slick! ;)

James, it seems you didnt "read" the article. You dragged the Bookmark button and not the Bookmarks Toolbar Items (yes, there are two).

I used to be an AVG advocate also, up until it started to become massively bloated. I couldn't stand the Firefox toolbar and other assorted "scanners" that came with it. I was impressed with Microsoft's offering so much I uninstalled AVG from all work computers, saving money in the process.

As someone who always looks for free/opensource software, AVG was my answer. Now Microsoft have their own free version, I have switched simply because no one should know their own OS better than the creators. I will wait and see what AVG come back with however, they don't have a solid reputation in the paid corporate world for nothing...

Fringe (something like "modern X-files"), Big Bang Theory (comedy serie with IT guys), Dexter (show about the killer), How I Met Your Mother (IMHO better copy of the Friends) and some more...

Hi Matt, thanks for this handy tutorial. I was always thinking about how-to make the TV serie downloads easier. This is definately it! I am now trying to do that with my one of the favorite TV serie Dexter (and some more). Thanks for this. Will retweet it to the world. Keep the tutorials coming...

I like this list because it is short! Too many shareware lists get a little too detailed, don't you think? Glad to see Microsoft Security Essentials on the list too...I've been testing it and reading other reviews, and it seems to be a good option for many folks.

One other great service I use for helping folks in addition to CrossLoop is Zolved.com. Have you tried it?
